The First Peking Waterfall is in Liuke Valley of Shicheng Town of Miyun County. All the springs in Yunmeng Mountain converge here, forming a waterfall with the biggest amount of current in the suburban area of Beijing. It is 62.5 meters high, with 85 degree’s slope. The sound of the waterfall is so loud that you can hear it before you see it. The water rush down in torrent along with the cliff, causing a large area of mist. When you take a distant look, you will find that the waterfall is just like a jade pillar linking sky and earth. When you get near, you will feel the splashing water around. Under the sunshine, a picturesque rainbow can be formed. The ponds and pools are big and deep, forming a legendary landscape. Many poets have praised this scenery with poems.
